Some People

Some people think the early bird gets the worm. I, on the other hand, think that slow and steady wins the race.

Angelica(SIL) was due Nov 18 and had Weston Nov 3.
Karen was due Jan 12 and had Summer Jan 2.
Heather(SIL) was due Jan 20 and had Hudson Jan 9.
What's the rush ladies? I mean, who doesn't want to be completely uncomfortable for as long as possible? ;)

I am due Jan 12 and don't think I'll have him 'til the end of this week...
I think I win!

when I was pregnant with Wes I was determined to give birth because I was so uncomfortable. So I had my doctor strip the membranes and then I went home and went walking out in the freezing cold for 2 hours. My super athletic friend Diana walked with me and made me walk fast and kept telling me to hurry up! I went into labor an hour after I got home.

He's just waiting for those "Brutal cold" and "Bitter cold" days to arrive.

In typical O'Neill fashion, he's gotta make a memorable appearance in style!

Hey, I was a week late with my first and even then he didn't want to come out. He probably would have stayed in there at least a few more weeks if I had let him.

I totally understand where you are coming from. I didn't have my babies till 2 days after my due date. Hang in there! It is all worth it.

he'll be here before you know it...just try to enjoy sleeping (if you can sleep) and hanging out with Joel before he gets here. I feel for you though, the last part is SO uncomfortable. Hang in there....he's just about here!!

...have you tried eating spicy food?? I swear that put me into labor with Tucker. (try a burrito with hot sauce from cafe rio, thats what I had!) :) good luck

I know exactly how you feel! I was jogging up and down the hill around the playground while Layla played, sweating my keister off, trying to induce contractions. I hope this is not inappropriate for your blog, but the best way to induce labor is sex (although it may be the last thing you're in the mood for) and nipple stimulation. Good luck!!

Whitney it's lauren! I know how you feel. When I was prego with Becca the last week seemed to drag on forever! And I kept hearing about everyone else having there babies early. They kept changing my due date which was not helpful. But she did end up coming the night of her first due date. So you never know, there is still time left the day is not over yet! :)

Oh Whitney, I know...it's tough. I've always said (since being almost 2 wks late with my first and "late" with each of my kids) that women shouldn't be given a due DATE but rather a due RANGE or something. It can really get to you when the day is nearing or past and the little bun is still snug in it's toasty little oven. I'll bet a man came up with the whole idea! (no offense, Joel!) Here's hoping he comes when you are both ready and brings you all of the joy in the world!

Hey WhitI hope you are hanging in there. We are thinking about you and can't wait for little O'Neill to arrive. Hang in there, it now has to be soon.
