Home

When Joel and I first moved to Milwaukee I vowed to NEVER have kids while we lived here because I didn't want them to have to say they were from Wisconsin- lame, but true! Here we are 4.5 years later, about to have our first child, and I am happy to say that my thoughts have changed.

For now, Milwaukee is our home. We have great friends, good jobs, and a warm little pad. We are blessed. Although I miss being near family and old friends, we have accomplished so much together in our short(relatively) time here. We have had to learn to rely on each other for everything and that alone has strengthened our relationship tenfold. I wouldn't change the experiences we have had or the people we have met for anything.

Milwaukee ain't that bad after all, don'cha know?

**Update at Dr appt yesterday: a big fat NOTHING!! I did not progress a.t. a.l.l! This little guy is too cozy warm in there!**

Have you guys been to the other parts of Wisconsin, Door County?, Apostle Islands, UP north? Wisconsin Dells? Wisconsin has alot to offer outside of Milwaukee. Hope you both are doing well. Thanks for wonderful Christmas Package.

I felt like the year Jim and I spent living in California was really good for our relationship. It really forces you to get to know each other outside of family dynamics and build your own little family. Good luck with that little one! Try some spicy food and exercise if you haven't already. :)

you have a much better outlook than I do. I agree though, we've had so many blessings that I don't think would have come if we didn't live here.

maybe tomorrow the lil' guy will come! i'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that hates it here--but still loves it in spite of it all! I hope your little guy makes his appearance soon.

Hey, even though nothing changed at the doctors, for all you know you could go into labor tonight! Anything can happen, especially in the middle of the night!

Glad you like Wisconsin, though who lives there? :)

I love that you guys are here! It is hard to be away, but so much fun for you and Joel to be just with your little fam.

Have you been walking the curbs yet? Better get to it!

I went into the Dr. a week before I was supposed to be induced. The Dr. told me that there was no way I was going to make it to be induced, and that he bet it would be by the weekend. I was so excited, but the days kept dragging by. I finally went into labor in the early morning hours the day I was supposed to be induced. We will keep our fingers crossed for you that it will happen SOON.

haha! I'm happy you changed your mind! I said that same thing about VEGAS! UGH, I didn't want to have to say my kid was born in Vegas, but oh well I'm happy Tucker's here even if he was born in Vegas!

I was dialated 2 cm at one apt and then 2 the next week too.nothing jad changed... that was Tuesday and Tucker came Saturday that week, so it doesn't matter that nothing changed, I bet he'll be here soon!!

We are glad you have finally embraced good ole' Wisconsin!

Don't worry about the progression, same thing happened to me. He'll come out, don't worry. Remember, you still have a few days til he is scheduled to appear!

Good Luck!
